The CDC Dog Import Form: what Singapore pet owners need to know
Since August 2024, all dogs entering the United States must have a completed CDC Dog Import Form (DIF), regardless of origin. Singapore is not on the CDC high-risk country list, so the process for Singapore-origin dogs is purely administrative.
Complete the form through the CDC’s online portal before travel. Record your dog’s microchip number, rabies vaccination details, and confirm the dog has not recently been in a high-risk country. Print the confirmation and present it alongside the USDA-format health certificate at the US port of entry.
Cats do not need the CDC Dog Import Form. Their requirements are simpler: a health certificate issued within 10 days of US arrival.
